Job summary

MR DIY Malaysia is seeking a strategic planner to support the company’s growth across existing operations and international expansion. You will help launch new concepts, build financial models, and coordinate cross‑functional teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with Excel, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Fresh graduate encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 1–2 years relevant working experience in management consulting, strategy, business planning, corporate finance, research or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, arithmetic, commercial and execution skills.
• Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office tools including Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg and Capital IQ is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic planning and operational excellence of existing businesses and international expansion activities.
• Assist in launching, iterating and scaling new concepts, revenue streams or growth projects.
• Support portfolio management of investee companies to deliver deal value.
• Identify strategic issues and opportunities that influence growth and profitability.
• Develop thought leadership and market intelligence on industries, markets, and competitors.
• Build financial models and provide analysis for business cases, project economics and funding plans.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives and meet project timelines.
• Assist top management with ad-hoc special projects as required.
