Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Global Component Planner to lead end-to-end supply planning for a specific commodity, ensuring global revenue targets and supply continuity across Cisco's operations. You will collaborate with Supply Chain Operations, Engineering, and external vendors to implement Weeks of Supply strategy, manage NPI ramps, mitigate shortages, and drive cross‑functional alignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in materials management, supplier relationship management or supply/demand planning.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Experience with data analysis, data analytics and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end global supply plans for related commodities.
• Partner with global hub operations to optimize inbound fulfillment modes and align with Weeks of Supply strategy.
• Identify and resolve component shortages with regional partners and global suppliers.
• Manage Excess & Obsolescence risks to maximize revenue potential.
• Cultivate partnerships with Global Supplier Management and external vendors to align commodity strategies.
• Lead supply responses to New Product Introductions and technology transitions with Engineering and Hubs.
• Drive alignment across Finance and Business Units to ensure a synchronized planning approach.
