Job summary

The Group of Companies in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our accounting and financial analysis team. This full-time role focuses on delivering accurate insights, reporting, and analyses to support strategic decisions and financial planning.

You will work on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, perform variance analysis, build financial models, and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2-3 years in financial analysis or accounting.
• Proficient in Excel with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, modelling.
• Solid GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports and analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support planning and initiatives.
• Perform trend analysis and provide financial insights for management decisions.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital metrics for financial health.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy across systems and platforms.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes with assumptions and scenarios.
• Compile and present financial information to senior management in clear formats.
