Job summary

TAR UMT (Penang) seeks a diligent Accounting Associate to support monthly closes, prepare financial statements, and assist with related schedules. You will ensure general ledger accuracy through journal entries and reconciliations, and help follow up on outstanding discrepancies.

You will also assist with audit schedules, identify process improvements to boost productivity within the finance team, and support daily operations with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented with strong finance analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with general ledger, journal entries, and monthly closings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly accounts closing and preparation of financial statements.
• Support schedules and reconcile general ledger through journal entries.
• Perform monthly reconciliation schedules and follow up on discrepancies.
