Job summary

PwC Malaysia is seeking an Experienced Associate in Kuala Lumpur to support the Record to Report function. You will handle daily accounting tasks including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close, while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires 2 to 3 years of accounting experience, solid Excel skills, and ability to collaborate with internal teams and auditors. Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of general ledger, month-end close and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Excel; Oracle ERP experience an added advantage.
• Good written and verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and post journal entries following policies and close timelines.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on reconciling items.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for accurate records.
• Maintain accounting records for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany balances.
• Prepare schedules, variance analyses and management reports for seniors.
