Job summary

Businesslist in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Demand Forecasting & Analytics specialist to develop and maintain statistically driven forecasts across product categories. You will apply advanced methods and analyze datasets to uncover trends and drivers, supporting planners with insights for market assumptions.

The role involves scenario planning, cross-functional collaboration with Commercial and Supply Chain teams, and contributing to forecasting automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain Analytics, BI, or Data Analytics.
• Experience with large datasets and applying statistical models to forecasting challenges.
• Exposure to FMCG, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, or Supply Chain environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain statistically driven baseline demand forecasts from historical sales trends and signals.
• Apply advanced forecasting methodologies for short, medium, and long-term projections.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends, seasonality, and business drivers.
• Support Demand Planners with analytical insights for local market assumptions and strategies.
• Build forecasting simulations and scenario analyses to assess market changes or disruptions.
• Collaborate with commercial and supply chain stakeholders to evaluate risks and opportunities.
