Job summary
Agilent Technologies LDA Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Cost Modeling Engineer to join the Predictive Cost Modeling team under Agilent One Procurement.
The role focuses on developing cost models, simulating should-cost for manufactured parts, and performing supply-market intelligence analytics to enable strategic cost management. Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing/Costing/Procurement or related fields.
- Experience in CAD software.
- Effective MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Statistical, Data analytics and Digitalization skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Simulate should-cost of manufactured parts/assemblies to enable cost savings and sourcing strategies.
- Apply cost analysis to identify gaps and opportunities and propose cost-optimization solutions.
- Develop and deploy cost modeling tools on manufacturing processes for various categories/commodities.
- Conduct supply-market data research to provide market intelligence to support procurement strategies and competitive advantage.
- Harness market intelligence and cost data to run analytics on price trends and cost impact for proactive planning.
- Collaborate with Category Management in negotiations and strategies, and with R&D/Manufacturing/Suppliers in VAVE/NPI/DFX for design and process cost optimization.
