Job summary

Agilent Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced automation and manufacturing systems professional to lead simulation-driven optimization of production lines, equipment, and material flows at our Kuala Lumpur facility.

You will model production workflows, perform capacity and bottleneck analyses, and translate results into practical factory layouts and automation architectures. The role requires hands-on work with Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, Ignition SCADA, and industrial networking

Qualifications

• 8+ years in smart manufacturing, factory automation, or automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation for discrete-event modeling and capacity analysis.
• Experience with Ignition, PLCs, SCADA, and industrial networking including OPC UA, MQTT, Sparkplug.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-floor workflow, capacity, material-flow studies using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation.
• Develop discrete-event models and scenario logic for lines, equipment, buffers, routing, and processes.
• Coordinate machine integration with Ignition SCADA and data interfaces; define data requirements and Unified Namespace alignment.
• Support FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, qualification, ramp‑up, and handover of automation solutions at manufacturing sites.
• Develop reusable simulation libraries, SCADA templates, and engineering guidelines for multi-site deployment.
