Job summary

Celestica in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia seeks a Commodity Management Specialist 1 to drive supplier performance and demand accuracy. You will validate POs, monitor LOB and PD, and resolve capacity or tooling gaps to maintain steady supply signals.

You will lead cross-functional projects, report to senior leadership, and apply lean and Six Sigma tools to deliver cost and lead-time improvements.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field (Commerce or Engineering), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Expert understanding of traffic and customs rules and regulations.
• Strong financial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to perform analysis of supplier performance using SAP, Rapid Response, and Celestica databases.

Responsibilities

• Drives performance improvement at our most critical suppliers by validating POs and supporting demand accuracy.
• Measures/improves supplier Line of Balances and past dues; verifies material positions and yields.
• Implements supplier recovery/development tools to drive world-class performance.
• Interfaces with all levels of the organization and reports progress to leadership.
• Creates and manages strategic projects with tracking and progress reporting.
• Leads cross-functional teams to improve OTTR, Past Due, Volatility and Linearity.
• Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective actions using SAP, Rapid Response and Celestica databases.
