Job summary

Malamin Sdn Bhd is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and governance for its mining operations. You will work closely with the CEO, Board and operations to guide capital allocation and major projects.

Responsibilities include strategy execution, budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and financial reporting, with emphasis on mining economics and capital-intensive operations. Strong leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, preferably with significant exposure to mining, minerals, natural resources, energy or other capital-intensive industries.
• Previous experience at CFO, Finance Director, Financial Controller or equivalent senior leadership level is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mining economics, project finance and capital-intensive operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Company's financial strategy in alignment with its mining and corporate objectives
• Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO, Board and senior management
• Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis
• Evaluate investment opportunities, acquisitions, joint ventures and expansion projects
• Provide financial oversight of mining, processing and related operational activities
• Develop and maintain financial models for mining projects, including project economics and life-of-mine planning
• Evaluate capital expenditure, mine development and infrastructure projects using appropriate ROI, NPV and IRR analysis
• Lead cash-flow management, liquidity planning and working-capital optimisation
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, financiers and other financial institutions
• Oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
