Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited is seeking a skilled Business Analyst in Kuala Lumpur to drive change initiatives across strategy, design, and delivery within the banking sector. You will collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements, shape operating models, and govern complex projects end-to-end.

The role emphasizes governance, data-driven decision-making, and strong communication, with exposure to agile and waterfall methodologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in change environments across strategy, design (consulting), initiation and delivery.
• Industry experience in implementing organisational change and business transformation projects for banking industry.
• Demonstrated ability to independently build, maintain and navigate the organization using formal / informal networking skills.
• Extensive business analysis expertise, supported by project management knowledge and experience in delivering large, complex projects.
• Proficiency in knowledge of consulting and Change Frameworks, Agile methodologies, Waterfall methodologies and best practices.
• Excellent problem solving & analysis skills including extensive PowerPoint and Excel know-how.
• Cantonese/Mandarin language skills are highly beneficial.
• Certifications such as CAPM, ECBA, CBAP, CCBA, CSM are a plus.

• Propose innovative ideas and refine them with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and governance and accelerate project delivery.
• Aligns deliverables with the strategies and priorities for their business area and think commercially.
• Support design, governance and planning, including documenting scope, quality, cost and effort.
• Elicit requirements, validate with stakeholders, maintain traceability, and manage deployment activities.
• Manage project progress, risks, issues and dependencies with clear communications.
• Ensure delivery at pace while maintaining team morale and velocity.
