Job summary

QL resources berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Accountant to bolster the company's accounting and financial reporting functions. The role focuses on monitoring manufacturing cost performance and supporting budgeting and forecasting to ensure efficient financial operations.

You will assist in preparing management accounts, review financial statements, manage AP/AR/GL, inventory and fixed assets, and collaborate with auditors during statutory audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting.
• ACCA/CIMA or relevant professional qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and analyses.
• Support full accounts function: AP, AR, GL, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Monitor manufacturing cost data; analyze variances and inventory valuation.
• Participate in month-, quarter-, and year-end closings with reconciliations and journal adjustments.
• Support annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve inventory, costing, or transaction discrepancies.
• Support ERP system implementations and finance module improvements.
