Job summary

Deleum Chemicals in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Account Manager to drive the production chemicals business through customer relationship management, business development, and sales execution. You will coordinate technical support, manage contracts, proposals, and tender submissions, and work with the Senior Chemist and Business Manager to deliver practical chemical solutions.

This role requires building new opportunities with oil and gas operators and service companies while ensuring HSE

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the oil and gas chemicals industry.
• Experience selling production chemicals, water treatment chemicals, or flow assurance chemicals.
• Existing relationships with oil and gas operators and service companies will be an advantage.
• Understanding of production chemicals applications, oil and gas production operations, tendering processes, contract negotiation, pricing and margin management, and customer relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
• Develop new business opportunities with oil and gas operators, service companies, and industrial customers.
• Identify opportunities for production chemicals, water treatment chemicals, and flow assurance products.
• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
• Identify opportunities in offshore, deepwater, and mature field developments.
• Coordinate product deliveries and service execution; monitor contract performance and customer obligations.
• Work closely with the Senior Chemist and Business Manager to develop technical and commercial solutions.
• Coordinate field trials and customer evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and integrity requirements.
