FPG Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd is seeking a storeroom inventory associate (temporary, part-time) to manage and maintain storeroom inventory in Kuantan, Pahang. You will oversee receiving, storage, and issuance of consumables, spare parts, and equipment, using SAP for real-time data updates.
You’ll develop inventory control procedures, conduct audits, forecast material needs with purchasing and maintenance teams, and optimize stock levels while ensuring safety and compliance.
FPG Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd is seeking a storeroom inventory associate (temporary) to join our team in Kuantan, Pahang. This part-time position will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our storeroom inventory to ensure efficient operations and support the overall manufacturing and logistics functions of the business.
Inventory Management—Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuance of consumables, spare parts, and equipment in the storeroom.
Maintain accurate inventory records using SAP, ensuring data integrity and real-time updates.
Conduct regular inventory audits and stock counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies, obsolescence, and excess inventory.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce inventory.
Collaborate with purchasing and maintenance teams to forecast material needs and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
Implement and maintain inventory optimization strategies, including auto-PR, min-max levels, and reorder points.
Continuously monitor and adjust inventory strategies based on changing operational demands and IWS requirements.
Ensure proper handling and storage of spare parts to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss.
Optimize storage space within the storeroom, implementing best practices for spare part arrangement and retrieval.
Coordinate with maintenance and purchasing teams to fulfil spare part requests in a timely manner.
Manage the timely and accurate issuance of spare parts to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the storeroom.
Conduct regular safety inspections of the storeroom, addressing any potential hazards.
Coordinate with finance and MAGICS teams to support periodic inventory audits and financial reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all inventory transactions, including receiving, issuance, and returns.
Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, spare part usage, and storeroom key performance index (KPI).
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding documentation and record-keeping.
Work closely with purchasing and maintenance teams to forecast spare part needs and ensure timely replenishment.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address spare part availability issues and prioritize urgent requests.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers to coordinate spare part deliveries and resolve any issues related to quality or quantity.
Track and manage the movement of spare parts and consumables stored in the storeroom.
Ensure that all spare parts are properly tagged, tracked, and maintained according to company procedures and standards.
Implement procedures for the return, repair, refurbishment, and disposal of damaged or obsolete materials.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in warehouse or storeroom operations, preferably within the manufacturing, chemicals, oleochemical, or oil and gas industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve inventory issues.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., SAP).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
