Job summary

Penang Automation Cluster Sdn Bhd invites applications for a commercial truck driver role in Malaysia. The successful candidate will drive company vehicles, handle loading/unloading, perform daily vehicle checks, and follow safety procedures.

The position requires a minimum 2 years of truck driving experience, valid licenses, and the ability to work long or irregular hours while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience as commercial truck driver.
Experience with goods handling and GPS navigation is preferred.
Have valid GDL and E license. Must possess basic education.
Good communication and ability to work independently within a team.

Responsibilities

To report to work on time.
To inspect the truck on a daily basis and report issues to the superior for next course of action.
To ensure that truck is parked at the designated parking lot.
To clean & refuel the truck on a regular basis.
To oversee the loading and offloading of goods.
To safely transport goods to the assigned destination on timely manner.
To adhere to the traffic rules and company safety regulations.
To look for quickest and safest route to the assigned destination.
To ensure all Delivery Orders and other related document are chopped signed by the receiving party before returning to the origin.
To ensure canvas is put on during raining day to avoid spoiling the goods.
To report any accident or delay to the superior immediately.
To conduct minor roadside repairs on the truck if required.
To maintain a good working relationship with customers.
To keep commercial driving license up the date.
Responsible for any traffic offences, summonses, fines, or penalties arising from their own driving misconduct or negligence while operating a company vehicle, subject to applicable laws and company policies.
To support store in performing packing of goods to meet the delivery timeline.
To perform any other duties assigned by superior or manager from time to time.

Requirement

Minimum 2 years experience as commercial truck driver

Experience with goods handling and GPS navigation is preferred

Must possess at least a Primary/ Secondary School/ PMR/ SPM in any field

Have valid GDL and E license

Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

Good physical shape (jobs include a significant amount of bending, lifting, moving, and standing)

Able to drive Minimum 3 Ton truck
