Radical Internetwork Sdn Bhd is seeking a Materials Management Storekeeper & Lorry Driver to manage construction materials, tools, and equipment in the warehouse while performing lorry deliveries to project sites. A valid GDL is mandatory and forklift certification is a plus.
Applicants should have at least 2 years of storekeeping or logistics experience, be physically fit, and capable of operating warehouse equipment. Willing to travel to sites and work flexible hours may be required.
The Materials Management Storekeeper & Lorry Driver will be responsible for managing construction materials, tools, and equipment within the warehouse and ensuring the timely and safe delivery of materials to project sites. This role combines warehouse and inventory management responsibilities with lorry driving duties to support smooth project and site operations. A valid Goods Driving License (GDL) is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming construction materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
Organize, label, and safely store materials in the warehouse, store, and yard.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock control.
Prepare, pick, pack, and issue materials, tools, and equipment according to site requirements.
Coordinate and arrange material deliveries to project sites based on project schedules and requests.
Safely operate company lorries to transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to various project sites.
Ensure proper loading, securing, transportation, and unloading of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Maintain delivery orders, delivery notes, stock issue records, and other relevant documentation.
Monitor the movement, usage, and return of tools and equipment from project sites.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist with physical inventory counts.
Report damaged, missing, excess, or defective materials and equipment to the relevant supervisor.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment, where authorized.
Ensure the warehouse, storage yard, lorry, and material-handling areas are clean, safe, and properly organized.
Perform basic inspection and minor maintenance of tools and equipment where applicable.
Ensure the company lorry is maintained in good and roadworthy condition and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
Comply with company safety procedures, traffic regulations, warehouse procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Procurement, and project teams to ensure materials are available and delivered on time.
Perform other warehouse, logistics, material management, and site support duties as assigned by the Warehouse/Materials Supervisor or Project Manager.
Requirements
Minimum SPM or equivalent.
Valid Goods Driving License (GDL) – mandatory.
Valid driving license appropriate for the company lorry being operated.
Minimum 2 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse, materials management, logistics, or lorry driving; experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
Physically fit and capable of handling and moving construction materials and equipment.
Good knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and material handling.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock recording and documentation.
Able to operate a lorry safely and responsibly over different routes and project locations.
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project and site teams.
Willing to travel to different project sites and work flexible hours or overtime when required.
Basic computer literacy for inventory records, stock tracking, and documentation.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a construction warehouse, store, or material yard.
Familiarity with construction materials, tools, equipment, and site requirements.
Valid forklift driving license/certificate.
Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and lorry maintenance.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
