Job summary

ABS Engineering & Trading is seeking a warehouse assistant in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The role involves monitoring daily warehouse activities and ensuring orderly inventory management across receiving, unloading, shelving, packing, and labeling of parts.

Responsibilities include inspecting deliveries for damage, maintaining accurate records, performing counts, and coordinating freight movements. A mature team player with SPM qualification and basic stock knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification.
• Knowledge of basic store management processes including receiving, issuing, packing and arranging parts is advantageous.
• Knowledge of stock control (safety stock, cycle count, etc.) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing and labelling supplies.
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies, report those to accounting for reimbursement and recording keeping.
• Keep records of items shipped, received or transferred to another location.
• Maintain the warehouse area in a systematic and orderly manner.
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts.
• Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock level and maintain inventory control.
• Ensure all urgent or shortage parts are followed-up closely.
• Coordinate the handling of freight and the movement of equipment.
• To perform other task as assigned
