Job summary

FFM Grains & Mills Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking a Storekeeper to manage receiving, issuing and returning of goods, ensure accurate stock records, and coordinate with departments and suppliers. The role requires basic warehouse experience and proficiency in Excel, with SAP as a plus.

The successful candidate will maintain orderly storage, assist in stock takes and uphold safety and GMP/HACCP standards while supporting a growing manufacturing operation in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or SKM qualification in any relevant field.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in spare parts inventory / storekeeping / warehouse operations.
• Good knowledge of inventory control, stock handling and storekeeping practices.
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Good communication, coordination and organisational skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Added advantage: Experience using SAP system or other inventory management systems.
• Added advantage: Forklift operation and valid forklift certificate.

Responsibilities

• Attend to receiving, issuing and returning of goods including spare parts and other store items.
• Verify incoming goods against Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Delivery Order and documents to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding issue, loan and receipt of goods.
• Liaise with Purchasing and suppliers regarding goods requisitioned by departments.
• Ensure proper allocation of issued items to cost centres.
• Submit Delivery Orders, invoices and documents to Accounts.
• Maintain inventory arrangement, storage and housekeeping in the store.
• Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock take / cycle counts.
• Maintain records for all stock movements and movements documentation.
• Ensure proper identification, storage and preservation of spare parts and inventory.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, organized store environment.
• Adhere to HACCP, GMP, safety and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Job description

Attend to the receiving, issuing and returning of goods, including spare parts and other store items.

Verify all incoming goods against Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order, Delivery Order and relevant documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.

Coordinate with internal departments regarding the issue, loan and receipt of goods.

Liaise with Purchasing Department and suppliers regarding goods requisitioned by various departments, including during the Operations Department's off days when required.

Ensure proper allocation of issued items to the respective cost centre.

Ensure all Delivery Orders, invoices and relevant documents are properly submitted to the Accounts Department.

Maintain proper inventory arrangement, storage and housekeeping of the store.

Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock take / cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Maintain proper records and documentation for all stock movements, including receiving, issuing and returning of items.

Ensure proper identification, storage and preservation of spare parts and other inventory items.

Assist in maintaining an organised, safe and efficient store environment.

Adhere to HACCP, GMP, safety and company procedures at all times.

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Requirements:

Minimum SPM or SKM qualification in any relevant field.

Minimum 1 year of working experience in spare parts inventory / storekeeping / warehouse operations.

Good knowledge of inventory control, stock handling and storekeeping practices.

Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Good communication, coordination and organisational skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Added advantage: Experience using SAP system or other inventory management systems.

Added advantage: Able to operate a forklift and possess a valid forklift competency/certificate.

Willing to work according to operational requirements, including weekends or public holidays when required.
