About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Storekeeper to join our warehousing and distribution operations in Keningau, Sabah. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our storage facilities, ensuring efficient inventory control, accurate record-keeping, and the smooth movement of goods. As a Storekeeper, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the operational efficiency of our warehouse and ensuring that all materials and products are properly stored, tracked, and dispatched to meet business requirements. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of organisation and safety within the warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

Receiving, checking and recording incoming goods, ensuring all items are verified against delivery notes and purchase orders

Organising and storing materials in appropriate locations within the warehouse, utilising space efficiently and following established storage protocols

Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock counts to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity

Preparing and processing goods for outbound shipment, including picking, packing and labelling items according to specifications

Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and responsibly to move and handle materials

Monitoring stock levels and identifying when reorders are necessary to prevent stockouts or overstocking

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Assisting with cycle counts and physical inventory audits as required

Communicating with the logistics and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment

Documenting warehouse activities and transactions in the inventory management system

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar warehouse or inventory management role

Strong organisational and record-keeping skills with meticulous attention to detail

Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer literacy

Ability to operate material handling equipment safely, with relevant certifications or experience preferred

Physical capability to lift, carry and move goods regularly, with the ability to work in a warehouse environment

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting

Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with warehouse staff and other departments

Knowledge of health and safety procedures and best practices in warehouse operations

Ability to work flexibly, including potential overtime or shift work as required by operational needs

O-level or equivalent qualification preferred, with basic numeracy and literacy skills essential
