Job summary

New Balance Athletic Shoes SDN.BHD. is seeking a store leader in Sepang to drive daily operations, supervise a retail team and support the Area Manager in achieving sales targets. The role emphasizes customer service, merchandising standards and efficient store management.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of related retail experience, strong English and Bahasa Malaysia fluency, and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations under guidance of Area/Store Manager.
• Support daily tasks and implement sales goals.
• Provide training and maintain customer service standards.
• Oversee housekeeping and store appearance as per Visual Merchandising guidelines.
• Monitor stock movement and conduct stock takes; manage losses and security.
• Prepare monthly duty rosters within payroll limits and report on KPIs.
• Generate reports for Area/Store Manager and participate in ad-hoc projects.

Job description

We are looking for a talented candidate to undertake:

Act as a leader, and responsible as key person of the store.

Supporting Area Manager or Store Manager in daily operation and working under their direction.

Executing the Game Plan set by Area Manager or Store Manager, by setting up hourly and daily sales goals.

Providing training and customer service standard in store.

Provide orientation for new retail staff.

Ensure housekeeping is completed every day.

Ensure cash float, sales collection and monetary related amount are calculated accurately, stored carefully and bank in accordingly.

Working closely with Area Manager or Store Manager on store operations, manpower issue and provide improvement solutions if any, and provide constructive feedback.

Ensure outlet appearance is clean, presentable and all merchandise display follow Visual Merchandising guidelines.

Monitoring stock movement and merchandise level in storeroom.

Plan and prepare monthly duty roster of retail team members under payroll cost and ensure attendances are met.

Accountable for Loss Prevention & Security not limit to CCTV, inventory and spot checking.

Prepare relative reports to Area Manager/ Store Manager monthly.

Perform stock take activity for stores and responsible for stock loss occurred in store.

Assist team with any other projects on an as needed basis.

Perform any ad-hoc action assigned by the Management.

Be resourceful in terms of capturing sales opportunities.

Ensure retail team members follow SOP as per according to Management and Retail Operations Department.

Candidate must possess at least a SPM, preferable Professional Certificate / Diploma /Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in any field.

At least 3 - 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position or equivalent retail experience.

Demonstrated fluency both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Passionate, dynamic, team driven and highly motivated individuals who are willing to take initiative and eager to learn.

Positive attitude and able to work in a fast pace working environment.

Posses strong leadership quality with excellent customer service and communication skill.

Willing to work according to pre-planned shift hours and weekend/ public holidays.
