Job summary

YTL Land Sdn Bhd is seeking a Store Keeper to supervise store operations, verify incoming goods, maintain inventory accuracy, and implement SOPs. You will ensure proper storage conditions, record-keeping, and timely stock counts.

Fresh graduates are welcome; 1 year of store experience is an advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English are required, along with a meticulous, independent work approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of store working experience is an added advantage or minimum SPM / or equivalent.
• Fresh graduate also encouraged to apply.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Meticulous and responsible, mature and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and administers the operations of a store.
• Establish / prepare SOPs to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Receive and check goods against purchase documents and verify against receipts.
• Maintain proper stock records and update bin cards.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate re-orders when stock reaches reorder level.
• Conduct regular stock counts and dispose expired items with authorization.
• Coordinate filing system for documents and ensure safety, quality and environment procedures.

Job description

Under the direction of the immediate superior, store keeper administers the operations of a store. Receives, identifies, verifies goods purchased and delivered. Maintains inventory, maintains files and prepare reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Oversees and administers the operations of a store
• Establish / prepare relevant standard operating procedure and instructions (SOP) so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Receive and check goods delivered by ensuring delivered goods are in good condition and according to purchase document and verify against receipt document
• Ensure all stocks are kept under appropriate storage conditions and make sure storage areas are kept clean, neat and tidy at all times.
• To maintain proper records. To record the receipt and issuance of stocks in the bin card accordingly.
• Prompt updating of equipment and all inventory transactions.
• Perform regular checks to ensure stocks are in good condition and there are no expired stocks. Record and dispose expired items after authorization.
• Ensure sufficient stocks inventory by checking and monitoring inventory level and inform supervisor of items that have discrepancies in quantity, and initiate re-order of items that have reached re-order levels.
• Implement and maintain a clear and effective filing system for all documents.
• Coordinate and conduct in special and scheduled stock counts as required.
• Follow all relevant safety, quality and environment control procedures and instructions so that personal safety / the safety of others is not jeopardized.
