Mi Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia seeks a purchasing/inventory associate to manage material receipt accuracy, stock allocation, and timely release to production. The role covers monthly stock counts, 5S maintenance, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Candidate should have SPM, strong interpersonal and language skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and basic MS Office proficiency. Prior purchasing/inventory experience is an added advantage.

Qualifications

SPM is required.
English and Bahasa Malaysia proficient.
Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Ensure material receipt accuracy from suppliers and perform goods received.
Release goods to production as required.
Allocate goods into assigned shelves and conduct stock kitting as per lists.
Perform monthly and annual stock counts.
Maintain 5S, tidiness, and cleanliness of storeroom and workplace.
Ensure timely stock returns are counted and placed on shelves.
Adhere to safety procedures and health & safety guidelines.
Attend ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job description

To ensure material receive accuracy from suppliers and perform goods received.

Release goods to production.

Allocate goods into assigned shelf.

To perform stock kitting as per kitting list and release to requestor in timely matter.

To carry out monthly & annual stock count.

To maintain 5S, tidiness, and cleanliness of workplace and storeroom.

To ensure stock returns are counted and allocated into shelf within the stipulated timeline.

To ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedure and ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.

To attend ad hoc duties, any others related duties as and when assigned by the superior from time to time.

Scope of work will be revised depending on the management needs or request.

Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least SPM.

Required language (s): Bahasa Malaysia & English

Basic office software (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong interpersonal, human relations & communication skills

Working experience in the purchasing/inventory/material management is an added advantage.
