Job summary

Intersurgical Medical Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a reliable Material Handler to support daily supply chain operations. You will manage warehouse activities, ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance, and move materials between Molding, Extrusion, and Assembly departments.

The role requires at least one year of relevant experience and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with a strong focus on safety and 5S practices. Competitive salary with meal, shift and transport allowances is offered.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, staging, and transferring materials using FIFO/FEFO.
• Perform material-handling activities for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods between the warehouse and departments such as Molding, Extrusion, and Assembly.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment with accurate labelling and documentation.
• Carry out container loading and unloading as required.
• Assist with inventory control tasks, including daily stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety, ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times.
• Monitor equipment usage (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and report faults to the Supervisor.
• Follow 5S practices and participate in audits and continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Job description

The Material Handler is responsible for daily Supply Chain operations by performing warehouse and material-handling activities in compliance with SOPs and FIFO/FEFO practices. Responsibilities include handling material movement between departments, preparing finished goods for shipment, supporting inventory control tasks, and maintaining warehouse safety and cleanliness. Also monitors equipment conditions and performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & experience:

Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Minimum one-year working experience in relevant field

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support in the supply chain department, but not limited to:

• Execute daily warehouse operations such as receiving, storing, picking, staging, and transferring materials using FIFO/FEFO, in compliance with established SOPs.
• Perform material-handling activities for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods between the warehouse and departments such as Molding, Extrusion, and Assembly.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment according to the cargo list provided by the Shipping Assistant and/or their designee, ensuring all items are correctly labelled.
• Carry out container loading and unloading activities as required.
• Assist with inventory control tasks, including daily stock checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities as instructed.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed, and appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
• Monitor the usage of equipment on the warehouse floor (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and report any faults or abnormalities immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Team Leader.
• Execute daily tasks in accordance with 5S practices, including maintaining a clean and organized workstation, proper material placement, adherence to visual controls, and participation in 5S audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or their designee.
