Job summary

Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club is seeking an Assistant Chief Steward to assist the Chief Steward in daily stewarding operations for kitchen, restaurant and banquet services. The role focuses on cleanliness, hygiene, equipment readiness and cost control, ensuring smooth service during events.

You will supervise stewarding staff, plan rosters, monitor supplies, and coordinate with Kitchen, Restaurant and Banquet teams to support daily events. Experience in hygiene and inventory is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to supervise stewarding staff.
• Knowledge of hygiene and chemical handling procedures.
• Experience with equipment care and safe working procedures.
• Ability to conduct inventory checks and maintain records.
• Cost management and manpower planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise stewarding staff and assign daily duties.
• Prepare duty rosters and plan manpower efficiently.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitisation of plates, cutlery, glassware and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, kitchens and stores.
• Monitor use and storage of cleaning chemicals per safety requirements.
• Record and report breakages, losses and damaged equipment.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Restaurant and Banquet teams for daily events.
• Control wastage, overtime and part-time manpower costs.
