Job summary

Marriott International, JW Marriott, is seeking a Non-Management, Full-Time Stewarding Assistant to direct and assist Stewards, ensure proper cleaning processes, and support banquet and kitchen staff at 13 Jalan 16/11, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Responsibilities include maintaining water and chemical levels, operating cleaning equipment, assisting with plate-ups, training and coaching employees, adhering to safety policies, and delivering courteous guest service in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist Stewards to make cleanup more efficient.
• Ensure water temperature and chemical levels are appropriate and documented.
• Assist with banquet plate-ups and support cooks and kitchen staff as needed.
• Provide cooks with needed items and transport and stock banquet and buffet supplies.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including the dishwashing machine and station areas.
• Follow safety policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager.
