Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Muar, Malaysia, is seeking a Process Engineer – Leadframe Process & Tooling Expert to own and optimize Lead Lock Tape and Lead Trimming operations. You will drive process robustness, yield, and tool readiness while collaborating with Production, Quality, Equipment, Maintenance, and Tooling teams on high-volume semiconductor assembly.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant field and at least 5 years in semiconductor process engineering, with hands-on leadframe

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 5 years in semiconductor assembly/manufacturing process engineering.
• Hands-on leadframe experience with Lead Lock Tape or Lead Trimming.

Responsibilities

• Own and sustain leadframe assembly processes (Lead Lock Tape, Lead Trimming).
• Define and optimize process parameters for stability and yield.
• Support tooling design, qualification, modification, and troubleshooting.
• Lead problem solving using DOE, SPC, FMEA, and 8D methods.
• Drive cost reduction, cycle time improvements, and productivity gains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and train operators.
