Job summary

EZZYTECH ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. in Shah Alam seeks a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to transform ideas into practical designs and work with fabrication and production teams to bring products to life.

You will lead 2D drawings and 3D CAD models, perform design calculations, coordinate prototypes, and ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency while maintaining detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, R&D, manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD design software.
• Able to produce accurate and detailed mechanical/engineering drawings.

Job description

This role focuses primarily on mechanical design, engineering development, prototyping and research & development (R&D). The successful candidate will be responsible for transforming ideas and concepts into practical engineering designs and working closely with our fabrication and production teams to develop and improve products.

We are looking for someone who is creative, technically strong, detail-oriented and hands-on, with a passion for mechanical design and developing new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support mechanical design and R&D projects from concept to prototype and production.
• Develop 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models for new and existing products.
• Translate concepts, sketches and requirements into detailed mechanical designs.
• Design mechanical components, assemblies, structures and products according to project requirements.
• Conduct design modifications and improvements to enhance product functionality, durability, manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Select appropriate materials, components and manufacturing processes for product development.
• Conduct engineering calculations and basic design analysis where required.
• Develop and coordinate prototype fabrication and testing.
• Evaluate prototype performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Troubleshoot design, fabrication and product-related technical issues.
• Research new technologies, materials, components and manufacturing methods.
• Ensure proper control and documentation of design revisions and engineering changes.
• Perform other R&D and engineering-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
