Job summary

Bruker Corporation in Malaysia seeks a highly qualified Physicist to drive optical system integration and the development of analytical instruments for Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES). You will prototype, optimize, and define workflows for instruments, and support ramp-up to serial production with quality standards.

Expect hands-on work in opto-mechanical design, data collection and evaluation, and collaboration across Bruker sites. Some travel and a 1–2 month training in Europe are required.

Qualifications

  • 7 years related experience with Bachelor’s degree; 3 years related experience with Master’s degree; PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, or other relevant subject
  • Experience in analytical instrumentation, Optical Emission Spectrometry, spectrometry equipment or other optical analytical techniques
  • Good understanding in opto-mechanical design and optical principals and concepts
  • Experience in optical design software (Zemax, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or other)
  • Understanding and hands-on experience of data collection and evaluation
  • Assignment requires 1-2-month training session at a Bruker headquarters in Europe and occasional travel to Europe within R&D projects

We are looking to recruit a Physicist for:

  • Optical system integration and qualification of systems, tools, and components for our
  • Development of analytical instruments for Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES).
  • Support of Operations in producing and testing OES analytical equipment.
Responsibilities

  • Appreciation and understanding of different cultures and religions.
  • Very good communication skills for both internal and global teleconferences in English
  • Assignment requires 1-2-month training session at a Bruker headquarters in Europe and occasional travel to Europe within R&D projects
