Job summary

Bruker Corporation in Penang, Malaysia invites a Physicist to join our analytical instrumentation team. You will develop and optimize products and components, and define workflows for X-ray fluorescence and diffraction instruments, supporting production and quality approvals.

You will collaborate with engineering across mechanics, electronics and software, engage in data collection and analysis, and contribute to global projects. Occasional travel for training and collaboration may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Physics or related physical sciences.
• 3 years’ experience of R&D in industry.
• Experience in X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, analytical instrumentation, or other X-ray analytical techniques.
• Understanding and hands-on experience of data collection and evaluation.
• Basic knowledge in programming and electronics-design appreciated.
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Appreciation and understanding of different cultures and religions.
• Very good communication skills for both internal and global teleconferences in English
• Assignment requires 1–2-month training session at a Bruker headquarters in Europe and occasional travel to Europe within R&D projects.
