Job summary

Bruker in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Physicist to contribute to development and optimization of X-ray analytical instruments, including systems for XRF spectroscopy and XRD. You will help define workflows, support ramp-up to serial production and ensure quality standards across assembled products, collaborating with operations, purchasing and vendors.

The role requires a master’s degree in physics or related field, 3 years of industrial R&D experience, hands-on data collection and evaluation,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Physics, or other Physical science subject.
• 3 years’ experience of R&D in industry.
• Experience in X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, analytical instrumentation, or other X-ray analytical techniques.
• Understanding and hands-on experience of data collection and evaluation.
• Basic knowledge in programming and electronics-design appreciated.
• Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Appreciation and understanding of different cultures and religions.
• Very good communication skills for both internal and global teleconferences in English
• Assignment requires 1–2-month training session at a Bruker headquarters in Europe andoccasional travel to Europe within R&D projects.
