Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Staff Engineer in Test Development to bridge high quality automotive requirements with our Malaysia site. You will develop and optimize test packages for power discrete products, focusing on WBG tech, and drive test flow strategies for automotive standards.

You will collaborate in international project teams, lead test work packages, and contribute to efficiency gains across test cells, hardware, and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent
• >5 years in power discrete test development in semiconductors
• Experience with IPTest or similar and C/C++ programming
• Strong background in Power Devices (IGBT, MOSFET)
• Skills in analog/mixed-signal circuits, test code, debugging
• Strong communication and collaboration in global teams
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

As a Staff Engineer Test Development in our Research & Development team, you will be the bridging the high quality standards and requirements of Automotive customers and our volume operational site in Malaysia.

Develop new and enhance existing test packages (test cell, test hardware, test program) for power discrete products with focus on Wide Bandgap (WBG) technologies

Develop and support the transfer and generation of BE final test programs

Charpen the strategy of Test Flows for Automotive standards

Standardize and Harmonize the work flows towards higher efficiency

Work within International Project Teams and lead test related work packages

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering or a comparable major

>5 years of working experience in power discrete test development within the semiconductor industry

Expertise in power test platforms (e.g., IPTest or similar) is preferred, as well as know-how in C/C++ programming experience

Strong technical background in Power Devices (IGBT; MOSFET…)

Skills in analog or mixed signal electronic circuit, test program coding and debugging

Technical driving skills, result oriented behavior and strong communication skills within global teams are a must

Analytical and problem-solving skills
