Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Kulim, Kedah, is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer in Product & Test Engineering to shape the future of semiconductor testing. You will develop innovative test methods, optimize test software for ATE, and design product-specific test hardware for Front End wafer tests and Back End final tests.

You will analyze, debug and characterize new products on the test system, transfer test packages to production sites worldwide, and collaborate closely with design, verification

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering.
• 5 years of experience in high voltage Gate driver IC or IPM, or 2+ years in Wide Bandgap test development in semiconductors.
• Experience with mixed-signal power test on Eagle ETS-88/ETS-364, Advantest V93k or similar.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and test program debugging.
• Testing GaN or SiC power devices is a plus.
• Fluent English; willingness to learn German is a plus.
• Willing to work in Kulim, Kedah.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative test methods and optimize test software for ATE.
• Design product-specific test hardware for Front End wafer and Back End final tests.

• Develop solutions for high parallel testing and improved test coverage.
• Transfer test packages to production sites in Europe and Asia (up to 10% travel).
• Ensure timely transfer of engineering and production test packages to testing locations.
• Collaborate with concept, design, verification, characterization, and production engineers.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

• Develop innovative test methods including DfT and optimize testsoftware for the ATE (Automated Test Equipment).
• Design product specific test hardware for Front End wafer test and Back End final test.
• Analyze, debug and characterize new products on the test system.
• Develops innovative solutions for high parallel testing, new methodologies to improve coverage and test time, and more efficient program structures.
• Transfer test packages to our production sites in Europe and Asia incl. intercontinental travelling (max. 10%).
• Ensure timely transfer of engineering, reliability and production test packages to various testing locations.
• Closely team-up with concept, design, verification, characterization, production and technology engineers.

Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering or comparable.
• 5 years of working experience in high voltage Gate driver IC or intelligent power module (IPM) or 2+ years for Wide Bandgap discrete test development engineering within the semiconductor industry.
• Expertise in mixed-signal power test on Eagle ETS-88 or ETS-364 (or similar), Advantest V93k and Acco Test STS8200 is preferred. C/C++ programming skills needed.
• Solid skills in analog or mixed signal electronic circuits and test program coding and debugging.
• Experience on testing of GaN or SiC power devices is a plus.
• Fluent English skills (willingness to learn German is a plus)
• Technical driving skills, results oriented behavior and strong communication skills within global teams.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Kulim, Kedah.
