Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd invites an experienced Test Engineer to join our R&D team and shape the future of power IC testing.

In this role, you will develop and optimize test packages for power driver ICs, transfer FE/BE tests to production sites, define test concepts, and drive new ideas with a strong focus on reliability and yield. Collaboration across global teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or comparable.
• More than 5 years of experience in test engineering for power driver ICs in semiconductors.
• Hands-on experience with Teradyne ETS88/ETS800 or Advantest V93K and strong programming skills (C/C++, Java).
• Experience with test program and hardware development and problem solving in analog/mixed-signal HV domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance test packages for power driver ICs (test cell, hardware, programs).
• Transfer FE wafer test and BE final test to IFX and subcontractor sites.
• Define test concepts, design for test, and test specifications with the concept engineering and design teams.
• Contribute ideas, manage risks, and drive test-related innovation.
• Implement new test concepts and methods for NPI products, including analysis and debugging on testers.
• Identify improvements to test packages to reduce test time and cost in high-volume production.
• Optimize test packages over product lifetime and support yield monitoring and disposition.
• Handle electrical analysis for customer rejects or production issues, collaborate cross-functionally.
• Coach new engineers to SME where applicable.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Develop new and enhance existing test packages (test cell, test hardware, test program) for power driver ICs
• Develop and transfer both FE wafer test and BE final test packages to IFX and subcon production sites
• Be responsible for the definition oftest concepts, Design for Test, as well as test specifications in cooperation with the concept engineering and design team
• Contribute to new ideas, drive active risk management and demonstrate a sense of urgency for upcoming test-related innovation
• Implement new test concepts & methods for NPI products including analysis, debug and characterization on the tester
• Identify and introduce test package improvements/conversion to realize test time and cost optimization for products in volume production
• Optimize test packages throughout the product lifetime as well as supporting the yield monitoring and lot disposition
• Handle the electrical analysis in case of customer rejects or production test issues and collaborate with product engineering and design in the framework of global cross-functional teams
• Coach newengineers to increase competency and to become subject matter expert (SME) where applicable

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or comparable
• > 5 relevant years of experience in test engineering for power driver ICs within the semiconductor industry
• Working experience required on tester platforms Teradyne ETS88/ETS800 or Advantest V93K with very good programming skills (C and C++, Java)
• Skills in development and problem solving of test programs and test hardware, preferably in analog / mixed signal power / high voltage domain (e.g. 1000V)
• Technical driving skills, results oriented behavior and strong communication skills within global teams
