Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Kulim) Sdn Bhd is seeking a technology development engineer to drive innovations at technology, device and system levels for next‑gen high‑voltage power devices as part of a global development team.

You will develop new voltage classes, broaden product functionality, and support ramp‑up and yield learning for platforms like CoolSiC or JFET in collaboration with the FAB Kulim process integration group.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or comparable.
• Experience in technology development or process integration is advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of semiconductor process technology and device physics.
• Knowledge of MOSFET technologies and Infineon’s product portfolio is an advantage.
• Strong foundation in statistics and design of experiments.

Responsibilities

• Drive innovations on technology, device and system level for High-Voltage Power Devices.
• Develop new voltage classes and broaden the functionality of existing products.
• Support ramp up and yield learning for platforms like CoolSiC or JFET with process integration.
• Collaborate with FAB Kulim production management, unit process and process integration engineers.
• Define unit process requirements along the technology roadmap with development engineers.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate process experiments including DoEs and ensure process window.
• Implement improvements regarding cost, yield and stability through changes or technology projects.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

We are looking for a technology development engineer who will be driving innovations on technology, device and system level, shaping the next generations of High-Voltage Power Devices as part of a global development team

Develop new voltages classes and broadening the functionality of the existing products

Support the ramp up and yield learning phase of new technology platforms like CoolSiC or JFET together with the process integration group

Closely collaborate with PSS production management, unit process and process integration engineers of FAB Kulim

Develop new MOSFET generations, define together with TCAD and application experts the features of the upcoming generations

Define unit process requirements along the technology roadmap together with unit process development engineers

Plan, coordinate and evaluate process experiments including statistical DoEs and ensure process window

Implement improvement regarding cost, yield and stability with change management processes and/or technology projects

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

A university degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Sciences or comparable

Experience in technology development or process integration as advantage

Sound knowledge in the field of semiconductor process technology and semiconductor device physics

Sound knowledge of statistics and design of experiments

Knowledge of MOSFET technologies and product portfolio of Infineon is an advantage
