Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer in Product Engineering within the R&D team. You will drive yield and quality improvements, support new product releases, and coordinate technology synchronization across PMX groups.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor/Master/PhD in a relevant field with 6–8 years in semiconductors, and demonstrates advanced problem-solving and Six Sigma capabilities. Join a global leader advancing decarbonization and digitalization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Material Science/Chemistry.
• 6–8 years in semiconductor industry preferred; BE accepted with more years of experience.
• Advanced knowledge of PTE analysis tools and semiconductor physics.
• In-depth knowledge of 8D and other problem solving tools; Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate/lead yield and quality improvement programs within PMX Lots’ assessment & disposition to ensure quality of products delivered to customers meet Infineon’s quality and reliability standard.
• Fast feedback to production line in case of deviation, problem identification and fast feedback.
• Identify product or technology, or process margin related problems and work with PI/UPS to resolve.
• Support new product releases, technology transfer projects and ramp up production of new technologies.
• Monitor and work with PI/UPS to ensure stability of product parameters.
• Lead/Fulfil technology synchronization and contribute to risk management across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate/lead yield and quality improvement programs within PMX Lots’ assessment & disposition to ensure quality of products delivered to customers meet Infineon’s quality and reliability standard
• Fast feedback to production line in case of deviation, problem identification and fast feedback
• Identify product or technology, or process margin related problem and work with PI/UPS to resolve
• Support new product releases, technology transfer projects and ramp up production of new technologies
• To monitor and work with PI/UPS to ensure stability of product parameters
• Support Production tools releases (PCRB)
• Lead/support Technology Synchronization
• Support technology FMEA Deviation management
• Fast feedback to production in deviation with accurate analysis and conclusion
• Lead FEBE interface on yield, quality and reliability improvement topics within PMX group
• Provide expert knowledge on risk assessment on product quality and reliability (MRB)
• Knowledge exchange (IFX) and knowledge transfers within IFKM
• Be able to provide support or leadership for cross technology group projects

• Bachelor/Master/PhD Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Material Science/Chemistry
• Minimum 6-8 Year of working experience in Semiconductor industry preferred
• BE experience is accepted with higher number of years of experience
• Advanced level of Knowledge of PTE analysis tools
• Advanced level of knowledge in semiconductors physics of relevant power/IC technologies
• In depth knowledge in 8D and other problem solving tools
• Advanced statistical analysis Six Sigma (preferably)
• Project management Leading team skills
• Knowledge of unit processes and its influence on product
• Test methods for specific Technology
• Knowledge on product applications
• Knowledge of quality and reliability of products
