Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia seeks an experienced Process Development Engineer to drive development activities, optimize process parameters, and support prototype builds. You will generate critical process documentation, lead tool- and equipment-verified qualification, and mentor other engineers.

The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on assembly expertise, and a solid foundation in materials science and DOE/statistics.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform process development activities to meet project targets in timeline, quality, and cost.

• Create and update Process Specifications, PFMEA, DFMEA, and related documents.
• Lead verification/qualification for new tooling, machines, and materials in development.
• Provide guidance to engineers and project teams; drive IP ideas and innovation.
• Lead and coordinate task forces using SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, and FMEA tools.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform Process development activities (Process parameters scouting, optimization, verification, and Process Freeze) in Development projects to meet the project targets in term of timeline, quality, cost competiveness, and manufacturability.
• Responsible for technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operation.
• Support prototype and development samples build.
• Generate and update relevant documents, e.g. Process Specification, PFMEA, DFMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR.
• Provide inputs for updating of related documents and is responsible for their correct contents, e.g. Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, Process Roadmap, Failure catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance checklist, and etc. for development projects.
• Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines, and materials in Development projects.
• Technical lead for task force and complex problem-solving team using statistical and analytical tools, e.g. SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA, DFMEA, and etc.
• Identify and develop new Process technology and improve Process capability to meet new requirements from Business divisions.
• Support the definition of Process technology, material, machine, and tooling.
• Provide technical guidance/buddy to other engineers and project team.
• Initiating, generating, and drive (P) IP ideas based on reading and research.
• Lead technical critical topic for the DEV related projects and FOK attention within sites.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant course, with a minimum 8 years working experience in semiconductor manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong hands-on knowledge and skills in assembly area.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Material science and chemical engineering know-how.
• Strong analytical equipment knowledge.
• Knowledge in statistical data analysis, including design of experiment.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office is preferred.
