Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Melaka, Malaysia is seeking a Staff Engineer for FOL Assembly Process to drive process engineering improvements and ensure product KPI targets such as quality and yield.

You will lead setup, qualification, and implementation of FOL assembly processes, support package transfers, and coordinate with Subcon operations. Candidates should have 5–10 years of experience in assembly process engineering and a degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in Assembly Process Engineering with hands-on experience on Power Discrete and/or Power Management Package.
• Proficiency in English language, problem solving, communication & presentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel overseas upon request.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for FOL Assembly Process Engineering Vishay Assembly Production at Subcon.
• Drive improvement projects to support Product KPI such as Quality, Yield, Hold Lot Rate and Disposition Cycle Time.
• Support package transfer and new package introduction.
• Drive FOL assembly process/parameter/procedure set-up, qualification and implementation.
• Review and establish FOL Assembly Operation Baseline specifications & procedures.
• Coordinate with operation to get needed support for engineering evaluations and other engineering activities.
• Define statistical test methods to optimize yield and drive quality defect reduction programs.
• Review corrective actions for effectiveness and ensure they are implemented and spread as needed.
• Support customer complaint verification/analysis and action prevention.
• Reporting to the Subcon Operation Manager.
