Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer – Front-Of-Line (FOL) for our semiconductor client in Melaka. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving FOL manufacturing processes to ensure high yield and quality with cost efficiency.

The candidate will drive 8D-based incident management, root-cause analysis and collaborative problem solving across cross-functional teams to meet stringent quality targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Front-Of-Line process engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of FOL equipment and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Process Development & Yield Optimization: Maintain and improve Front-Of-Line processes to achieve key KPIs, yield, quality and cost reduction.
• Quality & Incident Management: Lead and drive 8D reports related to FAR, MRB, DDM, and SCAR with root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Anticipate line issues and implement timely containment and preventive measures.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering and operations teams to achieve quality targets.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster a high-performance culture by partnering effectively with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to reach quality targets.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Microelectronics, Mechatronics, Materials Science, Semiconductor Technology, or equivalent engineering discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of related process engineering experience in Front-Of-Line (FOL) assembly within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

• Technical Expertise:

  • In-depth understanding of FOL equipment, manufacturing processes, and first-level product reliability (including failure modes, application requirements, and standard testing methodologies).

  • Strong skills in statistical data analysis and production operations.

• Methodologies & Problem Solving: Proficient in structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Fishbone Analysis.

• Soft Skills & Mindset: Proactive, collaborative team player with excellent communication skills across all organization levels and a commitment to operational excellence.
