Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG is seeking a Staff Engineer for Facility Management Control Systems in our Manufacturing and Operations team. You will ensure reliable PCS7 operation across global sites and provide end-to-end engineering support for hardware, software, and visualization, while guiding lifecycle changes and system upgrades.

You will work in a high-tech cleanroom environment with cross-functional teams, contributing to ongoing projects, system stability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation, electrical, control engineering or mechatronics.
• Strong Siemens PCS7 expertise with certification preferred.
• Hands-on PCS7 hardware, software, diagnostics and programming.
• Experience in lifecycle/change management and industrial projects.
• Strong analytical and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent or strong English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable, standardized operation of PCS7 across global sites.
• Provide end-to-end engineering support for hardware, software, and visualization.
• Perform monitoring, diagnostics, and health checks to ensure stability.
• Manage PCS7 lifecycle: installation, configuration, upgrades, firmware updates.
• Govern change/release management for hardware and software.
• Support projects, expansions, and system conversions; participate in testing.
• Coordinate with FMCS and teams for alerts, SLA checks and access management.

Your role Key responsibilities in your new role

• Ensure reliable and standardized operation of Siemens PCS7 control systems across global sites.
• Provide end-to-end engineering support across hardware, software, field bus, programming and visualization.
• Perform system monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting and health checks to maintain operational stability.
• Manage the PCS7 system lifecycle, including installation, configuration, upgrades, firmware / software updates and hardware replacement.
• Govern change and release management for new hardware, software, libraries and system modifications.
• Support projects, expansions and system conversions, including testing and acceptance activities.
• Manage and verify operational alerts, SLA-related activities and calibration interfaces in coordination with FMCS and other relevant teams.
• Support system access and user / AD group management.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Degree in Automation, Electrical, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable technical qualification
• Experience Strong Siemens PCS7 expertise, ideally with relevant certification
• Hands-on experience across PCS7 hardware, software, programming and diagnostics
• Experience in troubleshooting, lifecycle / change management and industrial projects
• Strong analytical, ownership and communication skills for working in global, cross-functional teams
• Fluent or strong English for international collaboration
