Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Staff Engineer Equipment Engineering to drive planned maintenance and continuous improvement for critical Trim Form Singulation equipment. You will lead maintenance teams, govern equipment qualification, and implement engineering solutions to support manufacturing excellence.

You will develop maintenance/calibration schedules, manage costs, and drive upgradation of equipment with the latest technology to sustain high performance in production

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Broad background in mechanical engineering / manufacturing with knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Strong statistical data analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with latest equipment/technology and upgrading existing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive planned maintenance and continuous improvement for the Trim Form Singulation process to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
• Lead equipment governance, qualification of new platforms, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Develop and maintain maintenance and calibration schedules for all tools, machinery and equipment used in the facility.
• Manage maintenance cost to sustain equipment performance; execute EQ governance framework.
• Drive a culture of equipment improvement through training, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with module MNT and PUR to optimize maintenance costs and implement new equipment/technology qualification for production.

Key responsibilities in your new role

In this role, you will drive planned maintenance and continuous improvement initiativesfor the Trim Form Singulation processto ensure optimum equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. You will alsolead equipment governance, qualification of new platforms, and implementation of engineering solutionsto support manufacturing excellence and business objectives.

Drive and build planned maintenance definitionwith high availability, good reliability and appropriate quality performance

Lead theplanned maintenance teams and maintenance technician groups in Assemblyto execute equipment scheduled maintenance timely and comprehensively

Develop and maintain maintenance and calibration schedules for all tools, machinery and equipment usedin the manufacturing facility and define the parts life span and consumption

Manage maintenance cost in sustaining the equipment to it fullest performance

Develop and execute EQ governance business process / framework

Drive a culture based of equipment improvementon maintenance routines and engineering solutions using training, systematic troubleshooting and root cause corrective actions

Collaboration with module MNT and PUR in driving the maintenance cost optimization project

Execute new equipment and new technology qualification and cascading for production

You are a proactive and results-oriented leader who champions technology advancement, equipment enhancement, and high-performing teamwork to achieve production and business objectives.

Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology, Material science) or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment

Possess a broad background in mechanical engineering / manufacturing with a wide range of knowledge on manufacturing and production processes

Good knowledge ofstatistical data analysis, analyticaland problem-solving skills

Good knowledge ofSystematic Problem-Solving methodology (e.g. 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, FTA, Fish Bond…etc.)

Familiar with thelatest equipment / technology in the industry and able to upgrade / improve existing equipmentto suit the business needs

Good knowledge & familiar with existing equipment features, new packages and ramp up

Ability to build a high performance team who can operate efficiently, effectively, productively and cost effectively

Be personally energetic, dynamic, proactive, committed, positive, enthusiastic and possess the ability to think laterally and act through reasoned decision-making

Be able to get things done timely and make things happen to achieve the aims of production and the business
