Job summary

Benchmark Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer, Clean Room Operations to lead and support cleanroom activities with a focus on compliance, contamination control, and operational excellence.

The role collaborates with Production, Engineering, Quality, Facilities and customers to maintain a world-class cleanroom environment and drive continuous improvement across qualification, validation, and certification activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cleanroom operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Monitor and improve contamination control practices, including gowning, particle monitoring, cleaning, and material handling.
• Support cleanroom qualification, validation, and certification activities.
• Investigate cleanroom-related issues and implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance to ensure HVAC and cleanroom systems operate properly.
• Develop and maintain cleanroom SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
• Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and engineers.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Staff Engineer, Clean Room Operations to lead and support cleanroom activities, ensuring compliance with cleanroom standards, contamination control requirements, and operational excellence. The role will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and Customers to maintain a world-class cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead cleanroom operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, procedures, and customer requirements.

Monitor and improve contamination control practices, including gowning, particle monitoring, cleaning, and material handling.

Support cleanroom qualification, validation, and certification activities.

Investigate cleanroom-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Work closely with Facilities and Maintenance teams to ensure proper operation of HVAC and cleanroom systems.

Develop and maintain cleanroom SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.

Provide technical guidance and training to operators, technicians, and engineers.
