Job summary

TG Malaysia in Penang/Bayan Lepas is seeking an experienced Analog Layout Engineer for hybrid work arrangements. You will perform circuit block, subsystem and top-level layout using Cadence Virtuoso-VXL and lead floorplanning, routing and verification.

The role requires 5+ years in analog layout, strong IR drop/EM analysis knowledge, and the ability to guide junior engineers toward timely delivery and high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Microelectronics/Electrical Engineering with >5 years of analog layout experience.
• Hands-on analog layout from scratch in submicron CMOS.
• Experience with IR drop/EM analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform analog circuit block, subsystem and top-level layout and verification using Cadence Virtuoso-VXL.
• Lead/co-lead layout design of Analog circuits including floor planning, routing and verification.
• Conduct layout reviews with circuit designers.
• Plan overall project schedule and distribute tasks to team members.
• Coach junior engineers for on-time delivery and quality.

Basic Salary: Up to RM12,000 + Benefits & Allowances

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform analog circuit block, subsystem and top-level layout and verification using state-ofthe art tools (Cadence Virtuoso-VXL) and techniques.
• Lead/Co-lead layout design of Analog circuits(block/IP/chip) including floor planning from scratch, performing routing & layout verification and resolve violations.
• Conduct layout design reviews internally & external with circuit designers.
• Plan overall project schedule and distribute tasks to project team members.
• Capable in guiding/coaching junior engineers for on time delivery & quality.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic/Microelectronics/Electrical Engineering with >5 years of job experience in Analog Layout.
• Good understanding and with hands-on experience in analog layout from scratch, implementation of analog layout techniques, IR drop/EM analysis.
• Deep understanding of analog circuit layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies.
• Good interpersonal, verbal and communication skills with good initiative at work.
• Ability to work as strong team player and participate in cross-functional activities.
• Capable in driving ideas towards implementation for layout productivity, quality and methodology improvement.
• Possess strong technical, analytical & problem-solving skills in analog layout.
