Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Malaysia (Penang) seeks an experienced engineer to plan, estimate, and execute mixed-signal floor plans for IP macros and subsystems. You will drive analog full-custom layout from block to top level and collaborate with circuit designers to meet performance and area targets.

Responsibilities include layout verification, ensuring reliability rule compliance, and coordinating with subsystem and top-level teams for seamless integration.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years of experience in R&D or advanced technical environments.
• Experience in RF and analog full custom layout.
• Understanding of layout techniques for analog ICs and LDE in deep submicron technologies.
• Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre/Mentor verification, and Linux scripting (SKILL/Python).
• Proven tape-outs in advanced nodes.
• Good English skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive analog full-custom layout implementation, from block level to top level
• Perform layout verification and ensure compliance with design and reliability rules
• Collaborate closely with circuit designers to meet performance and area targets
• Coordinate with subsystem and top-level layout teams to ensure seamless integration

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
• At least 5 years of experience in R&D or advanced technical environments
• Experience in RF and analog full custom layout
• Good understanding of layout techniques for integrated analog circuits, such as matching, noise, coupling, shielding, and IR-drop as well as all kinds of layout dependent effects (LDE) in deep submicron technologies
• Expertise in Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre / Mentor verification, and Linux scripting (SKILL/ Python)
• Proven track record of tape‑outs in advanced nodes
• Good English skills
