Job summary

Micron Technology in Malaysia is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and maintain software-driven test programs for SSD products in high-volume manufacturing. You will design validation tests during start-up phases, optimize methods to reduce cycle times and costs, and automate processes to improve efficiency.

You will work with product and equipment engineering teams to boost yields, monitor test metrics, and support NPI and production readiness while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills with interest in software development.
• Experience writing and debugging test programs.
• Familiarity with AI/ML or AI-assisted software development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test programs for Micron SSD products in high volume manufacturing.
• Design new test programs for validation of new SSD product/technology during start-up phase.
• Optimize test programs to reduce test times and manufacturing cost.
• Automate test engineering processes by writing software scripts.
• Enhance test coverage to ensure high outgoing quality and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with product and equipment engineering teams to improve yields and ROI.
• Develop and monitor process and engineering metrics for test processes.
• Participate in designing and implementing testing methods for NPI phases.
• Prepare test and diagnostic programs, fixtures, and procedures for new products.
• Release test programs to production in a timely manner.
• Debug and identify root causes of failures and provide feedback to engineering groups.
• Mentor junior engineers.
