Job summary

SCHOTT ASIA IT SERVICES SDN BHD in Malaysia seeks an experienced SAP Basis professional to provide ongoing system maintenance and health monitoring for SAP environments, including S/4HANA on-premise. You will collaborate with SAP functional and development teams on internal projects, handle incidents and changes, and ensure system reliability.

The role requires strong SAP Basis expertise, knowledge of SAP Solution Manager/ Cloud-ALM, and willingness to work in a hybrid setting with a focus on

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP Basis operation experience, including S/4HANA on-premise.
• Strong understanding of SAP Basis and ability to translate business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP Basis support and system maintenance including health checks and tuning.
• Coordinate with SAP functional and development teams on internal projects.
• Handle incident tickets, changes, security, and user administration.
• Understand user pain points and deliver effective solutions.
• Ensure high system availability and optimal performance.
• Continuously monitor, optimize, and resolve problems.
• Be able to work in shifts or standby.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP Basis support and perform system maintenance, including system health checks, daily monitoring of system performance & tuning, system installation, upgrades, patching, SAP Note check & implementation, assess security-related updates and the perform relevant patching, client copies/system refreshes, transport management, and user administration.
• Provide Basis support in internal projects and work alongside other project team members which includes SAP functional and development teams.
• Handle incident tickets and change requests, including handling security and authorization, job administration, connection issues, and troubleshooting Basis-related issues.
• Understanding user pain points and requirements, provide and implement solutions to address them.
• Ensuring high system availability and optimal performance
• Conduct continuous system optimization, monitoring, and problem analysis/resolution
• Able to work in shifts or on standby
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ proven experience with SAP Technical Operation in Basis application, experience in supporting S/4HANA on-premise system.
• Very good understanding of SAP Basis and experience in handling business requirements
• Prior experience in using SAP Solution Manager and/or Cloud-ALM, specifically for health monitoring and deployment handling
• Experience supporting cloud or hybrid system is a bonus, as is cloud-related certification (Azure, GCP, AWS etc)
• Experience in security tools such as SecurityBridge is a bonus
• Excellent team player with great communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Business-fluent English skills.
