Job summary

Marsh in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Specialist - FP&A to join the hybrid team. You will analyze financial data across APAC, build budgets and forecasts, and support management with insightful financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and trends to support defensible APAC recommendations.
• Review planning information and reports; collect, analyze and summarize data.
• Conduct basic audit activities to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with management to ensure sound fiscal management.
• Assist month-end close with recurring/ad hoc reports and variance analysis.
• Evaluate financial plans and forecast returns.
• Assist budgets and quarterly forecasts; track initiatives.
• Prepare planning information by collecting and summarising data.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at Marsh. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Specialist - FP&A

We will count on you to:

• Analyze basic financial data and quantitative analyses, in order to support sound and defensible recommendations for the APAC region.
• Review and conduct simple analysis of financial planning information and reports, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Conduct basic audit activities, in order to comply with requirements.
• Communicate with management on a consistent basis, to ensure sound fiscal management.
• Assist in the month end close process by preparing recurring/standard and ad hoc reports, researching general ledger activities and variances to budget and prior year.
• Evaluate financial plans by identifying financial outcomes and potential returns.
• Assist in the development of budgets and quarterly forecasts; tracks and reports initiatives.
• Prepare financial planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

What you need to have:

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in FP&A preferably in a regional capacity with a large organisation.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage, manage and influence team members and senior stakeholders
• Strong financial and business acumen and project management with exceptional analytical skill
