Job summary

Job description

• The role ensures stable, compliant and efficient application operations for IBSol‑supported China branches by delivering high‑quality technical product management and BAU operations.
• The Specialist provides technical operational expertise, coordinates cross‑functional service delivery, and contributes to requirement clarification, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within an Agile delivery context.

Key Activities:

• Deliver full-stack Application Operations by managing and supporting the complete technology chain — infrastructure, middleware and application layers — ensuring stability, performance and availability across all components in scope.
• Act as Technical Product Manager in operations, ensuring all technical components (servers, middleware components, application modules, interfaces, job chains, schedulers, connectivity paths) remain secure, compliant and lifecycle‑current.
• Monitor, track and plan technology lifecycle events (EoL/EoS, patch cycles, hardware refresh, OS upgrades, middleware version changes) together with infrastructure and platform teams, ensuring risks are identified early and scheduled into IBSol governance cycles.
• Execute Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management according to IBSol service standards, including detailed analysis, task coordination, root‑cause identification and technical approvals.
• Work cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of fixes, releases, lifecycle changes, configuration updates, and environment-related tasks.
• Assist in technical assessments and impact analyses for lifecycle changes, infrastructure maintenance, failover activities, DR tests and dependency updates affecting assigned applications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (CORIA entries, configuration baselines, interface descriptions, lifecycle documentation, operational runbooks) in alignment with Commerzbank delivery and compliance standards.
• Oversee test-related activities including test case preparation, regression testing, UAT coordination and documentation of test evidence and defects.
• Ensure compliance with Information Security and IT Risk Management frameworks, including patch management cycles, secure credential handling, vulnerability remediation and security baseline enforcement.
• Analyze application performance events and technical alerts, identifying cross-layer issues (hardware, OS, middleware, application) and driving corrective actions.
• Support service reporting (incident, problem, vulnerability, lifecycle and performance reporting) with clear and accurate operational insights.

Formal Education:

Degree course (full-time or through co-op programme while working or completing vocational training) (e.g.vocational academy, university of applied sciences or university) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System or IT-related study.

• Professional Expertise - Experience in end‑to‑end application operations, covering the full technology stack:
• Experience acting as Technical Product Manager, overseeing the technical integrity of assigned systems, coordinating dependencies, and ensuring lifecycle compliance across all stack components.
• Proven ability to monitor and manage technology lifecycle events, including: hardware lifecycle (EoL/EoS), OS lifecycle and patch cycles, middleware version currency, database version lifecycle, infrastructure change dependencies
• Understand Incident, Problem, Change and Release Management processes in enterprise IT environments.
• Has analytical and diagnostic skills for troubleshooting across infrastructure, middleware and application layers.
• Experienced to work cross‑team technical activities, including infra, security, vendors and delivery units.
• Proficiency in technical documentation standards (CORIA, runbooks, configuration items, security baselines).
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/RHEL, including administrative tools, system service analysis, event diagnostics and lifecycle implications.
• Understanding of middleware components, such as application servers, web servers, job scheduling systems, integration/messaging layers
• Proficiency in SQL (MS SQL and Oracle) for diagnostics, troubleshooting and operational queries
