Job summary

AZON ALLIED HEALTH & EDUCARE DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD is expanding its caring team and seeks a Special Needs Therapist/Educator. The role focuses on administering behaviour interventions, data collection, and collaboration with parents and teachers to tailor learning plans.

Candidates with a Master’s or Bachelor’s in psychology or related fields are preferred; diploma holders with two years’ hands-on experience are also welcome. Weekend work may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Education, or related area.
• Diploma holders must have at least two years of hands-on experience.
• Experience with children with special needs is advantageous.
• Fresh graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administers behaviour intervention to children with special needs.
• Collects data and records progress notes, maintains notebooks, and modifies programs as needed.
• Administers drills, reviews data with supervisor, and reports concerns.
• Assists staff and parents with behaviour management.
• Assists in developing learning materials and reinforcement strategies.
• Monitors cases, therapy room, and take-home activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

JOB TITLE: Special Needs Therapist / Educator

Job Functions:

• Administers behaviour intervention to children with special needs.
• Collects data and records anecdotal children's progress notes, maintains and organizes program notebooks, and implements program modifications.
• Administers drills, reviews data with supervisor, and reports concerns.
• Assists instructional personnel and parents with behaviour management of children.
• Assists instructional personnel with the development of learning materials and reinforcement strategies according to the children’s individualised needs.
• Monitors children’s cases, therapy room and/or take home activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Education, or Early Childhood/Special Needs Education.
• Diploma holders in a related field must have a minimum of two years of relevant hands‑on experience.

Experience Required:

Prior job‑related experience working with children with special needs is an advantage.
