Job summary

WeCare Allied Health Center in Subang Jaya is seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate and support children with special needs within an Early Intervention Program. You will collaborate with parents, teachers, and a multidisciplinary team to implement IEPs and monitor progress.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Education, or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant experience and strong English/Malay communication

Job description

This role involves coordinating and supporting children with special needs within an Early Intervention Program. Responsibilities include liaising with parents, teachers, and allied health professionals; implementing and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs); assessing and reporting on children’s progress; and assisting with the daily operations of the program. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including a Clinical Psychologist, Speech Therapist, and Occupational Therapist.

Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Education, or a related field, with at least one year of relevant experience. Strong communication skills in English and Malay, experience working with children, and the ability to work well in a team are essential.

Job Description

• Ensuring liason with parents, teachers, therapists and other professionals in respect of children with special needs
• Ensuring that Individual Education Plans are executed effectively
• To assess, record and report on progress and future about individual children within the classroom
• To keep up to date with the current practices in Special education practices.
• To run and organize day to day operations of the Early Intervention Program while working together with other professionals such as Clinical Psychologist, Speech therapist and Occupational therapist.
• To perform any other task as of when required by the Head of the Center.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Psychology or Early Childhood Education or Education or Special Needs Education or any other relevant fields.
• Strong communication skill (written and oral in both English and Malay)
• At least one year of experience is required.
• Individuals with experience in working with children will be prioritized.
