Qualifications

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established quality standards accurately.
• Good organisational skills with attention to cleanliness, storage, and stock rotation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to learn and support different areas of kitchen operations.
• Relevant food safety training or certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, labelled, and rotated according to FIFO practices.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
• Monitor food quality and report shortages or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
• Minimise food wastage and support cost-control initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Chef or management.
